The Bipolar Bum

Backpacking and Bipolar II. Taking Manic Depression on tour.

Going Feral

Good evening everyone, I hope you’re all well!

I’ve been offline for about a week because the internet here went down. I’ve caught up on replying and I was absolutely blown away by the number of e-mails of concern that I’d fallen off the wagon or gotten depressed. It renews your faith in humanity to know there are so many big-hearted people out there.

Tomorrow I move into an Aboriginal mission called Hope Vale where my internet connection is going to be flaky at best and there may be days or weeks where I cannot get online.

That being the case – I might not be able to reply to absolutely everyone and keep content flowing. I’ll do my absolute best and we’ll see how we go. If you comment and I don’t get a chance to reply – it isn’t because I don’t want to. If I ‘Like’ a comment without replying, please take that as the friendly nod that it is.

All the best,
H&J

Glad you’re well! Not having internet is the worst. We lost ours for three months a few years ago and I felt disconnected from the world. Take care and may the force of the internet be with you while you’re at Hope Vale!

How very Starwars! Thanks a lot for the well-wishes :) Thankfully the internet won’t be completely absent, just limited.

It’s good to know you’re well. I missed you in my reader! I definitely look forward to reading about your experience in Hope Vale sometime in the near future.

I remember the worst case of procrastination on the planet. I was taking an online class and decided to wait till the night of to write a 10 page paper. My internet went out that night– the hardware, so we had to wait till the morning to get it out,

So I went to a local starbucks and sat outside the closed store leeching off of their wifi in order to submitted. I got it in like 30 min before it was due (like the middle of the night.)

Losing internet only matters when your tuition is on the line. (okay, not really)

    But I feel your pain.

We’ve all been there, internet hobos leeching from a coffee shop! Glad it all worked out in the end.

I think I’ll miss the constant access but living more life and less internet can’t be anything but good!

      All the best,

I was actually worrying about you as well due to your lack of a blog presence! I’m glad to know that you are fine.

I’m not sure surfing is going to be on the menu for months, unfortunately! I’m currently connected via my girlfriend’s mobile phone and the connection is questionable.

Glad you’re doing OK and you’re back in the world of intarwebz!

      All the best,
